However I don't think age has an impact on ptsd. I guess what I am saying is it can impact any age, but there may be either certain events that are more likely to happen at a certain age, or certain groups of people who may have been involved in something traumatic such as a war that impacted on many people. People of all ages, abilities, intelligence etc can be affected by ptsd. I work with people with intellectual disabilities, unfortunately many of them have experienced severe violence and sexual abuse. Many of them have ptsd and they all vary in age.
